Gorgeous Twin Senior Photos in Orange County | Janessa & Jailey
When Janessa & Jailey were visiting LA from out of state, they made a special trip down for their senior photos in Orange County. These identical twin sisters have modeling experience and were naturals in front of the camera (just wait until you see their photos!)!
This grad photos session was more than a photo shoot — it was an important milestone for these twin sisters and their mom to share. We had a beautiful, calm fall day. Days like these in the fall are lovely because beaches are less crowded, but the weather is dry and warm. The nice weather also meant the girls could do whatever they wanted with their wardrobe — which is a common occurrence here in Orange County! Their colorful dresses were from Sherri Hill, and their white dresses were from Revolve. All of them were beautiful! Of course we had a classic sister moment - they both wanted to wear the same jeans for their first outfit! We compromised on taking turns and not taking any sister photos together until they were in their dresses. It’s important to remember that there is always a workaround when it comes to wardrobe. These Nebraska natives knew what they wanted for their senior photos, but traveling for your senior photos can be tricky.
You need to be especially organized when it comes to packing your wardrobe, renting a car, etc. This makes hiring a professional that much more important as someone like me can guide you through the process. It wasn’t too long into the senior session that Janessa & Jailey’s mom pointed out, “You don’t miss a thing!” Here at JRP, we value sharp attention to detail and do our best to fix all the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed, such as hairs out of place, bows not tied properly, arranging dress trains, etc. Attention to detail and problem-solving are just as important as the technical skill you want your senior photographer to have.
We had quite a few direct sunlight shots throughout Janessa & Jailey’s senior photos in Orange County. Whenever I have clients facing the sun, I will count them into their poses. “1, 2, 3, eyes up to the camera!” I snap away and then say, “okay, relax” so they know they can look down and away from the brightness. This is actually why it’s nice to sometimes have clouds in the sky. They can act as a natural diffuser and even out the shadows and brightness so you don’t have to squint. We didn’t have any clouds for this session, but if we had, it may have been a bit easier to get some of these shots. Don’t be afraid of cloud coverage!
