Arizona Bound For College? You Should Consider Senior Pictures At The Beach
California Senior Pictures at the Beach for an Arizona-Bound Senior
Did you know that of all the California high school students who decide to go out-of-state for college, the most popular state choice is Arizona? Yep! According to PACE (Policy Analysis for California Education), Arizona takes the lion share of out-of-state enrollees at 14.3%, followed by Oregon at 8.5%. At one point, Arizona State University enrolled more California students than six of California State University’s campuses! Interestingly, though, the number of first-time freshmen from Arizona who enrolled in the University of California system or California State University schools is less than 300, according to the Associated Press.
It’s been said that Arizona campuses can offer California students a less busy environment and a lower cost of living, and since tens of thousands of California students face rejections by California state universities, the opportunities in Arizona can look even more promising. Yes, there are higher tuition costs for out-of-state students, but one Arizona program offers huge discounts for those who come from western states.
That’s why I believe I’ve seen more and more seniors celebrating the end of their high school career with a photo shoot wearing Arizona hoodies, flags, and t-shirts now than ever before.
While Arizona is famous for its deserts, I always encouraged both my California-based clients as well as those traveling from the state of Arizona to celebrate their desert destination with one final shoot in the stunning beaches of Southern California.
Not only is taking senior pictures at the beach the perfect way to say farewell (well…more like “See you later!”) to your favorite beach spots, but it just adds a California flare to your senior photo collection. Taking senior pictures at the beach is a beautiful way to highlight the contrast between where you are now (and maybe even where you spent your life as a kid!) and where you’re going in the future.
It’s funny because California seniors who grew up here in Orange County typically lean either one of two ways:
I grew up going to these beaches. Of course I want to take senior pictures at the beach!
I grew up going to these beaches. Can I do something different?
Whatever your sentiment, know that the beach is a classic option for a senior photo shoot. Ask me about my favorite beach spots!
